North Carolina born and raised. I’ve been playing the better part of my life. Inspired by my Aunt, I was given my first guitar at 7 and played for three years. I took a notion for skateboards and gave up music until I graduated high school.

During college my interest in music rose while my GPA dropped. I played in a couple of different bands and was blessed with a dear friend who taught me upright bass. I was hooked.

With a loan from my mother I purchased my first upright. I had to move back home and work for months to pay it off. (If ya want to get good at something, move back into your folks’ basement. You would be amazed at the free time ya have to hone your skills.)

It's been a long road. I have met some of the greatest people through music and got to travel to some awesome places. I have spent the better part of the last ten years in
more dives than I care to name, but I wouldn't trade it for
                                                  anything.

Q&A with Daniel

List of Bands You've Played With In the Past/Present:
I have played in a handful of Carolina and southeastern bands. Here are some of the
fine folks that I have had the privilege of sharing the stage with: The Straight 8s,
The Bo-Stevens, The Redliners, The Haggard, Dave Quick and Southpaw, Sidna Allen,
The Cogburns, The Spazms, The Froglevel 3, Jimmy and the Teasers.

Favorite Record:
Thats tough... my musicial interest are vast, so I would have a hard time nailing down
just one. I love The Beatles first record. I also have a Merle Haggard in concert
that stays near the player. Social Distortion "live at the roxy" is another favorite.
Like I said, my taste varies a lot.

Favorite Bands / Musical Influences:
I have been fortunate enough to have the privilege to play with a ton of different
bands. To narrow down my favorite is hard. I like any band that puts on a great live
show. You can only get so much from the album. I like Hot club of Cowtown,
Roses Pawn Shop, Supersuckers, Willie Nelson, Steve Earle, Joe Clay, Elvis, Marty
Robbins, Stray Cats. This could go on forever....I will stop here.

Biggest influences are: Miller lite, Mike "Chops" Laconte, Mark Griffiths,
F.J. Ventre, Jake Irwin, Nathan Dolde
Favorite Quote:
‘The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway
where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative
    side.’ -Hunter S. Thompson
