I’m a transplant from the West Coast. I was born in Long Beach, CA and grew up in Socal. I moved out to the East Coast back in ’93 and have never looked back. I actually got a pretty late start in music and never even picked up a guitar until after high school. I started off teaching myself some chords on an acoustic and pretty much just farted around on it. I managed to play a few gigs as a bass player in a three piece cover band about once a month for a year or so but never really took things too seriously beyond that.

Once I made it East, I started playing a lot more guitar (electric at this point) because I didn’t know a lot of people out here and therefore had tons of free time. Fast forward almost a decade … I’m 30 now, my interests have moved from Blues to Swing and finally Rockabilly. And here I finally found a style I could really sink into and still explore all the other styles that it stole from and influenced at the same time. Rockabilly was the perfect mix of raw energy and style … with a swagger. I was hooked.

Back in ’99 there were no Rockabilly bands in my area so it took a bit of searching before finding folks to play with. Since those days, I’ve had the opportunity to both meet and play with a great bunch of folks, many of whom get the same kick out of Rockabilly styles - as I do - and all have a deep appreciation for music in general.
